Campfire

Everybody knows it….that the most precious commodity is time. Pity we don’t do better things with it.

Sometimes you have to take a chunk where you can. Back in April I managed to sneak a three night trip in with Charlie. He hadn’t really been camping before, you know in a swag, with a campfire. So while the girls (Mum and his big sister) were playing ‘rellies wedding preparations’ in Adelaide, WE sneaked away. (Me, Charlie and Gypsy the Wonder Dog)

I had to show the boy a couple of my old stamping grounds up in the Flinders Ranges.

First night we found a patch of melaleucas to camp amongst, not far east of the ranges, near the dog fence and close to where I worked years ago, in another life it sometimes seems.

We had a campfire AND we slept in a swag!
